AKC Urban CGC has a 10- step test of skills that dogs must pass to earn the CGCU title. The goal of the CGCU is to test the dog’s skills in an urban (city) setting. The “urban” setting does not have to be a large metropolitan city, but will include testing around traffic, sidewalks, public stairs and/or elevators, noises and distractions.
Dogs must have earned a CGC and have an AKC number, or PAL number, or AKC Canine Partners number to obtain a CGCU Title.
